
Description
Bright green baby fennel is immature fennel that produces licorice-flavored feathery leaves. The tiny umbrella-shaped golden seeds and its roots are also edible. Baby fennel seeds are especially sweet and release an anise aroma. These seeds comprise approximately ten lineal ridges that are compressed together.

Branches of pretty baby fennel make an attractive garnish for most anything. For a light salad using contrasting flavors, combine baby fennel, smoked ham and fresh oranges sections. Experiment with the flavor of baby fennel to create wonderful taste-tempting dishes. Fennel enhances salads and loves the company of fish entr�es. To store, place in plastic bag; keep in coldest part of refrigerator. Use within three to four days for optimum taste and quality. If allowed to dry, the flavor of baby fennel is lost.
