Storage Temperature
A treat roasted or baked, its mild flavor enhances meats, vegetables, soups, stews, salads, tomato dishes, sauces and casseroles, to name a few. Excellent added raw to salads, slice the large sweet cloves into mixed green salads. Appetizers and hors d'oeuvres love its mellow zest. Squeeze its juicy pulp on crusty bread or crackers. For true garlic fans, gently saut whole or sliced cloves in butter; serve as a side dish. To prepare, peel away papery skin; remove cloves as needed. Chop, mince or use a garlic press. The more elephant garlic is chopped, the stronger the aroma. To store, keep in a dry place. Elephant garlic stores much longer than actual garlic.
