Description
Amazing pitaya fruit may be red, peach-colored or yellow and grows on a climbing cactus. This unusual grapefruit-sized fruit is oval to oblong and up to four inches in length. The pulp is white or sometimes pinkish red, spongy, sweet and juicy with lots of tiny edible black seeds. This big bright red fruit's thick skin produces prominent scales that give it an oriental appearance.
