For a tasty appetizer, spread cream cheese on crackers; top with yellow cherry tomato halves; add fresh sweet basil. Just the right size for stir-fries, toss in the last few minutes of cooking until just heated through to preserve their delicate texture. Complementary fresh herbs include parsley, dill weed, chili powder, curry, oregano, bay leaves, mint, thyme and garlic. Always serve tomatoes at room temperature for best flavor.

Providing vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium, tomatoes contain some folate and fiber. Yellow tomatoes are low in acid making them the ideal tomato for acid-restricted diets. Eating five daily servings of fruits and vegetables lowers the chances of cancer.
